KCC Treasure Hunt Championship 2010 November 21st Round 6 Organisers Steve Tweedale & Peter Ramsell (20 points) At the start north of Colne, crews were given a map marked with the location of 44 clues. With no set route, they had to choose which 20 to visit and in which order, within two hours. Joe and Tim Cruttenden achieved the task comfortably within the time limit and with the shortest mileage, to claim victory. Derek and Adam Lord arrived on the minute of two hours and although their points tally for clues was higher, their greater mileage placed them second. Pete Tweedale and Lee Trickett would have had an even higher points score (and a win) were it not for a seriously misplotted clue (which also caught out Alan and Chris Kitson in 5th place) and so finished 3rd. A last minute pairing of Steve Warrington and Matthew Broadbent made 4th, in part due to shipping back-up cars from one place to another, and Margaret and Nigel Wedgewood claim last spot in 6th. Robert Mills and navigator _______ couldn't stay out for the scatter rally, so missed a style of event which was agreed by most crews to be more challenging and enjoyable than the treasure hunts. Expect more in 2011! Results
